What style of training do you use?

Why do you believe in crate training? I want my dog to be treated like my baby - that's what he is!

It's not a punishment, but a tool for safety, structure, and peace of mind for both you and your furry friend.
Prong collars are so cruel! Why do you recommend them?
We use and recommend tools like prong collars only when appropriate and *always* with proper, humane technique. When fitted and used correctly by a knowledgeable trainer, a prong collar provides clear, consistent communication that can be safer and more effective for some dogs than other tools, especially for managing strong pullers. Our priority is always your dog's safety and well-being, and we'll teach you how to use any tool responsibly and effectively.
How do you know what my dog needs based on her breed? I have a mutt - how is that going to affect what you know about her needs?

What key things do you want potential clients to understand about your personalized training or temperament testing before they even reach out?
Training is all about the dog's needs! A common joke among dog trainers is that when we train dogs with their owners, we're not only training the dogs, we're also training the owners. Most of my training is geared towards teaching YOU how to provide ongoing training support once you finish the training led by me, so you can be an independent and responsible owner.
Are there any important things clients need to know or prepare for before their first training session?
Yes! Before your first session, we'll send you a detailed preparation guide. Generally, please ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations, and bring their favorite high-value treats (small, soft, and smelly are best!), a standard 6-foot leash (no retractable leashes, please), and any specific training equipment you currently use.
