Important academy policies

At Blue's Training Academy, we believe clear communication sets the foundation for successful training. Please take a moment to review our policies, designed to ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for all our clients and their beloved companions.

Your guide to our policies

Understanding our academy policies helps us maintain a high standard of service and allows you to focus on what matters most: your dog's progress. Here are answers to common questions about training with Blue's Training Academy.

What is your cancellation policy for training sessions?

Our cancellation policy varies by service type. For in-home sessions, we require at least four hours advance notice if you need to cancel a scheduled session. For group classes, please notify us 24 hours in advance if you will not be attending that day's class.

What do I need to prepare or bring for training sessions?

For your first in-home session or the first day of group class, you will need to provide proof of current rabies and kennel cough vaccinations for your dog. Additionally, you must have already completed an application and been in contact with your trainer prior to the session.

How do payments work, and what is your refund policy?

Payments can be made in cash, via PayPal, or through CashApp (preferred). For in-home sessions, payment is due at the end of each session. For group classes, full payment is required before the start of the first class. Please note, there are no refunds for in-home sessions. Group class refunds are as follows:

  • Before the end of Week 1: 100% refund
  • No later than the end of Week 2: 50% refund
  • No later than the end of Week 3: 20% refund
  • No later than the end of Week 4: 10% refund
  • After the end of Week 4: No refund permitted.

What are the rules and expectations for clients and their dogs during training?

Rules and guidelines are tailored depending on whether you're participating in an in-home session or a group class.

During in-home sessions:

Your home environment must be free of distractions and potentially harmful clutter that your dog could eat or be diverted by. The training room should be calm and quiet, with no children or other animals (cats and other dogs) present during the session.

During group classes:

Your dog must remain leashed at all times – retractable leashes are NOT permitted. Your dog must stay under your control at all times and must not instigate or bother other dogs or owners. These measures ensure a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.
